Our Focus Sectors in India’s Orange Economy
TILTEDU’s education, research, and community work is focused on four sectors within India’s orange economy. Each is a high-growth, high-opportunity domain that demands a new kind of talent and a new kind of institutional support.
Games & Interactive Media
India’s gaming market is one of the fastest-growing in the world — over 500 million gamers, a booming mobile gaming sector, and a rapidly developing game development industry. But the talent pipeline is thin and the institutional infrastructure is nearly absent.
TILTEDU builds game development talent through direct programmes like GameCraft Pro, supports institutions in delivering game development curriculum, runs game jams and competitions that surface emerging talent, and produces market research that helps the games industry understand the Indian opportunity.
What we cover:
- Game design and systems thinking
- Game development (Unity, Unreal Engine, UEFN)
- Narrative design and worldbuilding
- Game production and project management
- Mobile, PC, and platform-specific development
- Esports and competitive gaming ecosystems
- Indie game publishing and monetization
XR & Spatial Computing
Extended reality — AR, VR, and MR — is moving from novelty to necessity. From industrial training and healthcare to cultural heritage and entertainment, XR is being deployed across sectors. And spatial computing, powered by new hardware and platforms, is creating entirely new interaction paradigms.
TILTEDU develops XR talent through curriculum design, lab enablement, and direct training. We run XR challenges and hackathons. And we produce research on XR adoption, application, and opportunity in India — with particular attention to Kerala’s cultural and industrial heritage as a canvas for immersive experience design.
What we cover:
- AR/VR/MR application development
- Immersive experience design
- Spatial computing and 3D content creation
- Virtual production and real-time rendering
- XR for education, training, and heritage
- AVGC-XR lab setup and curriculum delivery
Digital Content & Creator Economy
India’s creator economy is among the most dynamic in the world — hundreds of millions of content consumers, a rapidly growing creator workforce, and platforms that increasingly reward quality and originality. But most creators lack the structured skills, business acumen, and community support to build sustainable creative careers.
TILTEDU develops digital content skills — from storytelling and production to platform strategy and monetization. We support creators through community events, workshops, and mentorship. And we research the Indian creator economy to understand its patterns, opportunities, and gaps.
What we cover:
- Digital storytelling and content strategy
- Short-form and long-form video production
- Platform monetization and creator business models
- AI-assisted content creation and tools
- Building a sustainable creator brand
- Content for games, XR, and interactive media
Creative Entrepreneurship & IP Commercialization
The orange economy runs on intellectual property. Games are IP. Characters are IP. Formats, narratives, and cultural expressions are IP. But India’s education system almost never teaches creators and developers how to build, protect, and commercialize the IP they create.
TILTEDU fills this gap. We teach creative entrepreneurship — how to form studios, develop IP strategies, navigate publishing and licensing, raise funds, and build creative businesses that generate recurring value. And we conduct research on the IP landscape in India’s orange economy, helping companies and creators understand their options.
What we cover:
- Studio and creative business formation
- IP development and protection strategies
- Publishing, licensing, and distribution
- Fundraising, grants, and creative funding
- Pitching and investor relations for creative companies
- Revenue models for orange economy businesses
