What It Was:
Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s biggest game creation event, bringing together developers, artists, designers, musicians, storytellers and curious creatives to make games from scratch in just 48 hours. The Kerala edition was one of the many global sites running simultaneously, synchronized with the larger international jam.
Spirit & Experience:
- Participants collaborated in teams, turning fresh ideas into playable games over an intense weekend.
- The event kicked off with a theme reveal, followed by idea pitching, nonstop jamming, prototype showcases, and final submissions.
- It was open to people of all skill levels — so whether you were a coder, artist, designer, or just loved games, there was a place for you
Games Created:
Many fun and creative projects came out of the jam, ranging from quirky arcade-style games to narrative-driven adventures. These were shared on the official GGJ site under the GGJ25 Kerala by SAIK group.
Community & Impact:
The Kochi jam wasn’t just about making games — it was about community building, learning through doing, and connecting with passionate local creators in Kerala’s growing game dev scene.
